FAQS

What are the benefits of using TheraSound?

TheraSound music has been designed to reduce a number of the symptoms associated with stress, anxiety and chronic pain. On a personal level, daily use of our music will create a relaxed frame of mind and help you deal with the tension and stress of daily life.

At a professional level, using TheraSound in conjunction with your treatment procedures will significantly increase the effectiveness of your process.

How do I use the music?

This depends on what you are setting out to accomplish.

If you are interested in strengthening your meditation/self realization practice or enhancing your yoga and Tai Chi workouts, you use the music during your routine, following the rising and falling chord movements and timing your movements to the flow of the music.

If you are interested in providing a welcoming, stress free atmosphere in you waiting room or lobby, you might try our interiors series, playing the music at a low volume in those spaces.

If you are interested in stress reduction and relaxation, try Balance and breathe

If you are a practitioner, please read the manuals accompanying the music.

If you have any further questions you can always email us at: questions@therasound.com

How often should I use TheraSound?

There is no limit to the use of TheraSound’s music. We recommend at least twenty minutes a day and suggest that you set aside the time to use the music. We also find that people enjoy having the music playing softly while they sleep. Play Balance or the Four Seasons CDs in the car, at home or in your office.

Never play the CDs from the Musical Body Program while driving. This music is very strong and meant to be used in your treatment room.

Are there any adverse reactions to the music?

While we have never heard of any adverse reactions to TheraSound, we do recommend reading the little manuals that accompany our music before use.

Please be aware that regular practice of any form of systematic relaxation may result in physiological changes.  This is one reason that relaxation can combat the deleterious effects of stress.  Relaxation has never been shown to have harmful physical side-effects.  In fact, some existing medical problems improve as we learn to relax.  Relaxation training may significantly lower arterial blood pressure and serum glucose levels.

For this reason, over-medication is a possibility.  If you regularly use TheraSound and employ the relaxation techniques that accompany the use of the music and you are on any medication for hypertension, diabetes, or epilepsy, please have your physician monitor your condition from time to time.
